Author Override: Angel Payne

Author Override is the place where authors take the reins and take you on a journey into their world. Some may allow you into their private writing dens. Others may take you along with them on research trips or interviews. Whatever the case may be, sit back, relax and enjoy the ride because here you’ll get an in-depth look into an author’s musings.

...Dasha Moore (star of THREE-PART HARMONY, on behalf of Angel Payne)

Hello all! *Fast wave* I’d really like to thank Angel for letting me…uhhh…kind of barge in on her space here on UTC. I know she’s supposed to be here talking about her new book, THREE-PART HARMONY, out right now from the fine folks at Loose-Id Publications (available on the Loose website or at Amazon, by the way!) but you see, I have a dilemma—and I need your help.

All right, MOST pop singers wouldn’t call this a dilemma, per se. I’ve just been notified that I’ve been nominated for an American Music Award—and there might be a good chance I’ll win this year! Amazing, right?

WRONG.

Hold on. Let me be clear. I AM super pumped about this—especially because there’s a darn good chance my dad, Senator Mark Moore, will be actually be able to make it to the show (you’ll find out why in Angel’s next book, PERMANENT MARKER, coming in October from Loose Id; get a preview of it here), so he’ll get to see me accept the award and perhaps even perform, too.

But this actually, really deepens my problem…

You see, I’ve been working on my acceptance notes a little, just to be prepared, you know? And the deal is, I really want—no, I need—to thank the two most important guys in my life. *Smiles and blushes a little* If you’ve read THREE-PART HARMONY, then you know what I’m talking about. David Pennington and Kress Moridian…they’re more than just my manager and my security lead. They’re like the yin and yang of everything my body and soul need. They take care of me in so many ways. But how do I say that to the world without just blurting, “Hey, a big shout-out to my two Dominants, especially for the awesome rope bondage and six orgasms last night!”

But HELL! How Do you describe being in love with the world’s two most perfect guys? At the same time?

David… *Sighs* Where do I start to describe David? *Shakes her head* I had a thing for him for years, before I got brave enough to even say anything. It had NOTHING to do with that lethal gray stare of his, either. Or that ass that looks great in his Kiton dress pants. Or even that sideways smirk he gets when he’s knows he’s got you on something…which is quite often, because the man’s brain runs at the speed of the Indy 500, ALL the time. All those things helped, but they weren’t the reason I finally, completely fell for him. THAT reason is pretty plain and simple. The man knows me, inside and out. He can read my brain like a book, and knows how to shine his insight on my body just as incisively. And if you don’t think that’s an incredible trait in a man who wants to dominate you completely…well, try having him strip you, tie you up and taunt you a little, and you’ll catch on to my tune pretty fast!

And now…Kress. He was my surprise. A pretty big one, too! (Hey, get your mind out of the gutter; I didn’t mean it that way! All right, maybe I did… *giggle*) Kress bounded into my life at a pretty stressful time, when I was being stalked in some scary ways by a lunatic fan. His alpha-boy, protect-the-woman-no-matter-what thing was actually just what I needed. He plays a little tougher than David because of it, but let’s just say the boys’ two styles…errrmmm…really compliment each other. Oh, and let’s just say the man isn’t hard on the eyes, either! Not much to hate about someone who looks like he stepped out of a crusader movie, yeah?

*Sighs*. I’m still no further along on these speech notes. I think I’m going to have to resign myself to the fact that if I win this thing, I’m going to fall apart at the podium, then let the world think what they may while my mascara slides down my face. It’ll be okay, though. Waiting in the wings will be the two men who have changed my life and my heart forever.

If you want to read how it all began with the three of us, feel free to check us out on Amazon, or buy the book straight from Loose Id here.

Dasha Moore commands the world’s stages as one of pop’s reigning stars, but finds her ultimate joy at the feet of David Pennington as his willing new submissive. In one night, her charismatic career manager becomes the Dominant of her body as well -- and the owner of her heart.

David is blown away, in all the good ways, by discovering D’s submissive streak. He can’t wait to brand her deeper with his domination, but a lunatic fan has other, deadly plans for Dasha.

Consumed with keeping Dasha safe, David gives the FBI a full-access pass for their investigation, headed by Special Agent Kress Moridian, a guy with an unnerving protective streak. David’s initial instincts about Kress are accurate: the agent is another Dom, and his definition of “full-access” includes Dasha herself. Being shared with Kress is a new tune for Dasha, but she finds herself loving its rougher strains -- and she begs David for their three-part harmony again.

But while her Doms make her body sing, Dasha’s heart and soul are torn. And what will happen to their song when they finally find the madman who wants her dead? Worse: what happens if they don’t find him?

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual situations, graphic language, and material that some readers may find objectionable: anal play/intercourse, BDSM theme and elements, menage (m/f/m)

About the Author:
Hi there! I'm Angel: weirdo, pop-culture geek, hopeless romantic, and totally OCD writer. I've loved reading all my life, and have been writing nearly that long, too. I think it started when I penned an 80-page novel about a time-traveling family for a 5th-grade school project. You could say I was hooked. In middle school, I moved to the hardcore stuff: the paragraph-at-a-time "swap-stories" with all my besties. (C'mon...don't lie...you remember those too!) Needless to say, the stories featured lots of French kissing, mindless groping and angsty drama - but I knew I'd found a niche when I was invited to participate in several more swap-stories on campus. Some years, various entertainment writing gigs and a half-dozen historical romances later, here I am writing the stories I really love. I hope my books speak to your heart as well as your blood pressure, as well as your courage to explore new things and express your truth in beautiful new ways.

Angel’s giving away a “Pop Diva” gift basket, full of decadent goodies, as well as a FREE E-COPY of THREE-PART HARMONY! To enter this contest you have to check out the pretty-damn-fun TRIVIA CONTEST on her website here: www.angelpayne.com
