Our answer: I think we will go with Lori @ Romancing The Dark Side.  She's giving away "Vampire Bites" by Katie Salidas, now through July 11.  Check it out!!

Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee

The question of the week is:

"Let's step away from besties...What is the worst book that you've ever read and actually finished?"

This is actually an easy question.  I don't even know how I actually finished it, I guess I couldn't wrap my brain around the fact that Anne Rice had done such a bad job in my opinion.  But the choice for me is "The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty" by A.N. Roquelaure (a.k.a. Anne Rice)

  1. Wow, you didn't like it? I guess it's one of those books that you either love or hate. I thought it was interesting to say the least. It was my first foray into erotica.

  4. Cruising on by with the 18 & Over.

Someone else mentioned the same book (as worst.) I liked the Beauty trilogy personally. Now Rice's book Belinda, that is still the WORST book I have ever read. It's a 16 year old girl & a 50ish man.

  5. @theJeepDiva - Belinda! I forgot about that one. You are right! That one is worst. My bad!

You know I just didn't like the extreme slavery, humiliation, pain involved in the book. I know some people liked it. I've been scared to read the rest of the trilogy.

  11. Hi!
Lol, I actually remember reading The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty back in my early high school days. I actually read through the whole series and let me tell you, it didn't get any better. Beauty did get her HEA though.

    Have a great weekend.

  12. Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog!

So... I don't like Anne Rice. A lot of people practically worship her and her books, but I don't like them. I tried them and I was bored so much. And then I heard about the crazy stuff she writes in some others. Yeah... I'm not even gonna try reading them.
