Review: Rocky Mountain Heat by Vivian Arend

Rocky Mountain Heat
by Vivian Arend
(Six Pack Ranch # 1)

I picked this up for the first time when it was re-issued recently because I needed a cowboy fix!  Meeting the Colemans was just delightful!  A family of Canadian cowboys that are just endearing as much as smoking hot!
In Rocky Mountain Heat we meet Blake, the oldest brother of the Six Pack Ranch, and that's a nickname they got because there's six of them (and yes they do have a nice six pack as well!).  Blake has been in love and in lust with Jaxi for as long as he can remember.  She's the girl next door that has always played with the boys, she grew up with his family, she dated his brother.  He should know to stay away from her, after all he's too old for her and shouldn't have these thoughts towards her.

But Jaxi has always had other plans.  She's always wanted Blake.  Even though all the other brothers have, at one time or another, tried to get with her, she only dated Travis because she couldn't have Blake.  Now she's determined to make Blake notice that she's a grown woman and be the perfect ranchers' wife.

All the characters in this book are likeable!  There's a lot of sexual tension, which was great, even though I didn't understand Blake's decision to woe her after they had already been together.  I only had one problem with the fact that at some point or another while growing up Jaxi had kissed pretty much every brother in the Six Pack Ranch!  That should make for some awkward moments, no?  Yeah, I'm jealous!

There's also a side story with Matt.  He's been dating Helen for a while and all he wants is to marry the girl.  But she's drifting away from him and now comes at him with a strange request.  As a puppy in love he complies even though it's a hard decision.  I really see a problem in their relationship, even though the menage we get was pretty hot!

The Coleman family is wonderful!  You will fall in love with all of them!
