ARC Review: Oracle's Moon by Thea Harrison

Oracle's Moon
by Thea Harrison
(Elder Races # 4)

What a great book to start my year of reading. Not only that Ms. Harrison did NOT DISAPPOINT, she EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS! I could not ask for anything more from this book.

Oracle's Moon can be a stand alone read as Ms. Harrison does well explaining the important point to the series. But because this is such a wonderful world to follow, I strongly suggest reading in chronological order.

This book takes off shortly after Serpent’s Kiss (Rune and Carling’s story). After helping Rune and Carling, Khalil had decided to stick around The Oracle's (Grace) house for her protection. It was intrigue and concern at first sight. Khalil, Demonkind and Djinn Prince of the House Marid had promised that no harm was to come to Grace and her kids. And what a great promise INDEED as it leads to the long overdue HEA they both deserve.

Khalil had stayed due to his commitment at first but his obligation to protect Grace comes from his past. His daughter was taken from him in a vengeful act of his bitch of an exwife. After seeing Grace with her kids, he automatically was drawn to them all. It was really sweet to see an overbearing, overprotective, alpha male, powerful Dijin bow down for his new found love. This is hard for me to say as I am loyally in love with Dragos from Dragon Bound, But Khalil is just as Alpha as he is. I am now torn. *clutches fist in chest*

And as far as Grace, wow, she is one tough cookie. Her sister and brother-in-law were killed in a car accident which led her to the responsibility to take care of her niece and nephew. And worse, to become the Oracle which she dreaded. But man, how she manned up to all responsibilities. I bow down to any single parents, fictional or otherwise.

I love how our H/h had time to “hang out” and get to know each other, love was not rushed at all. And be forewarned, it includes several hot scenes. My fave and this maybe spoiler-ish but must be said. Khalil has magic that can enhance the use of his hands and mouth to be in different places at the same time. Confused? Oh, you will see what I mean when you get to that scene. *fanning self*

The secondary characters were also great to read about. Max and Chloe were a great part in molding Khalil into their lives. We get a glimpse of Rune and Carling. Rune is as funny as ever. Last and most intriguing are Dragos and Pia's cameo. There's definitely something brewing there. I sense war or a takeover.

Ms. Harrison is on a roll. As her writing gets better, her plot becomes more complex and intriguing. Bravo to job well done!!!
