Review: Hunted by Rebecca Zanetti

Hunted
 (Dark Protectors #3)
by Rebecca Zanetti

Moira Dunne is a witch and she is the Seventh, which means that she holds a lot of power. Connlan and Moira were mated after a hot one night stand. One night of passion was supposed to be all they got, instead they got bonded for life. The mating wasn’t supposed to happen, but Conn doesn’t deny that the marking he made on her hip felt good to him. Felt right.

However, Moira doesn’t agree. She asks for some time to herself and after many years, Connlan returns for her thinking that he has given her enough time. As if 100 years isn’t enough, Moira fights back when Conn tries to reclaim her.

To be honest, I had a hard time liking Moira. I could not relate to her character. I just didn’t feel like our personalities meshed. She resisted Conn for so long that I felt that their relationship was stalled because of her hesitancy, and in turn, the story just didn’t flow as much as I would have liked. On the flip side, I enjoyed Conn’s character a lot. He was a great alpha man who knew what he wanted and was determined to get his way in the end. I loved this. Nothing is better than a man who has his mind set on something.

Zanetti created an interesting word that was unique and held my attention. I enjoyed her mythology, but I think her writing stood out the most for me. This book flew by and despite the fact that I didn’t like Moira, I finished this book pretty quickly. That is because Zanetti has great pacing and a free-flowing writing style that made it easy to devour.
