Review: Volley Balls by Tara Lain

Volley Balls
by Tara Lain
(Balls to the Wall # 1)
This was a pretty short, light and humorous read.  Maybe not the type of humor I like to see as it was a bit more over the top and bordering on "Really? Did he just say/do that?" but it was entertaining for sure.
David recently came out of a bad relationship. He was dating a guy who was still in the closet but who was also abusive. He hasn't really dated since, but a couple of Australian volley ball players catch his eye when they are in town.

Gareth and David make a cute couple I just thought everything was done a bit too fast.  Gareth's first approach was very forward and after a couple of dates they were talking about love and him moving to the US and leaving his whole life in Australia and his volley ball team behind.  That felt like a bit much.
Then there's the threesome.  That felt a bit like it was added as an afterthought, although it was hot.
I am still curious to read the next book!

  1. I did enjoy reading Volley Balls BUT I REALLY enjoyed the second in this series, Fire Balls. Something about a smaller guy being so damn dominate *growls*.
