ARC Review: Twister by Lexxie Couper

Twister
by Lexxie Couper
(Party Games # 3)

I really wanted to read the rest of the series before reading this one.  Not sure if there's any tie-in or not, however this book works absolutely great as a standalone!

As the series name implies, this book is all about a sexy game of Twister at a party and how things heated up from there.

Lachlan is the king of his own empire.  He is a media mogul and businessman.  And he does not date models.  When his sister throws him a party he finds himself face to face with the model that covered his walls as a teenager.  Kole.  We've all been there, the infatuation and crush.  Now he has the opportunity to act on it.

But Kole is no longer Kole.  She left that life behind, retired and became a low key photographer.  She is now simply Cameron.  She has been through a lot and is a bit damaged but she knows she wants Lachlan.

They both have issues to overcome and I liked that they didn't let those issues drag them down.  They are both vulnerable and strong when needed.  And yes, very sexy!  There's even some sex at the high school football field at night ;)

For a short story, this gives us all the insight we need into the characters, has some drama, plenty of sexy and a happy ending.  What more can we ask?  Oh yeah, and the  hint for the next book, a least I can only hope, with Lachlan's sister Lillian.  Can't wait for more party games!

  7. Good review! Though this can be read as a stand alone - I personally think it's better to read the series in order:) that way you get a feel for everything that's taking place at this party and all of the interwoven relationships
