ARC Review: Somewhere in Between by Stacey Kennedy

Somewhere in Between
by Stacey Kennedy
(1 Night Stand # 35)
Erotica Romance

I read Takedown and fell hard for Wyatt and Rye. They were such great characters, but in Somewhere in Between, Ms. Kennedy gives us a different taste of these delicious men.

Wyatt is a U.S. Marshall who takes his job seriously. But when he meets Darby under harsh circumstances, he finds himself being oddly pulled by her presence. There was something about Darby Grant that makes him go out of his way to care for her. I found that I really liked Darby. She was a strong heroine who had been through a hell of a tough time. She has her vulnerable moments but by the end, I loved that she was able to find herself again and learn to take control of her life.

The romance surprised me. This being such a short book, I wondered how Ms. Kennedy would be able to make me love Darby as much as I loved Wyatt and Rye whom I thought really worked well with one another in Takedown. Somehow, it works and there were some really great moments between the three of them that made me swoon. The last few lines of this book are particularly beautiful.

She glanced from Wyatt to Rye, and smiled. "I'll fit somewhere in between."
Wyatt grinned. "In between the two of us-"
"Is the perfect place for you to be," Rye finished for him.

Overall, I enjoyed this read by Ms. Kennedy. It was short but sweet, keeping with the characters I had come to love in Wyatt and Rye while bringing in a woman who complimented them as well as enhanced them.

  1. You would think with a title like that it would be a bit more on the spicy side. LOL!

Looks like a fun book nonetheless.
