Goddess of Legend
by P.C. Cast
(Goddess Summoning # 7)
Paranormal Romance
But I'll tell you what I can always expect when I read one of them. Quirky humor, funny women that are not necessarily the perfect model from other romance novels, they like to drink wine, have big mouths, curves, attitudes, great sidekicks and nosy goddesses. And they all have a mythology theme around them.
Goddess of Legend's theme is King Arthur and Camelot. Have I mentioned before that I have somewhat of a fascination with that? No? Well... I love it!
So the Water Goddess, also married to Merlin, has to bring a modern human woman, Isabel, back in time to solve a big problem. See, Queen Guinevere is cheating on her husband, King Arthur, with the handsome Knight Lancelot. This is the reason why King Arthur is unhappy. If King Arthur is unhappy, Merlin will die. And since the resourceful Goddess doesn't want her lover to die she recruits Isabel's help.
Isabel is to show up at Camelot and make Lancelot fall in love with her so that King Arthur can have the love of his wife back. But things don't always work out the way they are supposed to, do they?
Isabel is attracted like a moth to the light to King Arthur. Lancelot? The kid does nothing for her. AT ALL.
So this very strange woman who shows up at Camelot with her strange words and ideas will turn the town and the people upside down, as well as King Arthur's heart.
They do make a really cute couple, and the book was pretty funny. It is probably my favorite in the series.
sounds like a great book. esp that P.C. Cast wrote it :D
