Interview and Giveaway with Jacquelyn Frank

You heard it from her yesterday.  Now we bring you a very unique insight into Jacquelyn Frank.  We got to chat with her, nothing off limits (as you can see) and had a blast, hope you enjoy it as well!

Thank you so much for stopping by Under The Covers and being part of our UTC After Dark event.  Since you've given us carte blanche to ask you anything and everything, we'd like to know which race of Nightwalkers has the best lovers?
Oh, that’s a tough one. All of my characters tend to be extremely sensual and considerate lovers. But if I had to choose I would say the Shadowdwellers. As soon as they come of age (rather young by our standards, I’m sure) they are schooled in all the ins and outs of lovemaking. Everything from how to be the most attentive lovers to how to acknowledge within themselves what kind of lovemaking is going to be best suited to them. So Trace, Magnus, Sagan, Malaya, Tristan and Guin of the Shadowdwellers have my vote.

Fill in the blanks! Out of all your characters you would...
Have a hot one-night stand with…Magnus
Marry..... Magnus (can you tell he’s my favorite? LOL)
Have some girl on girl action with… Jasmine, hands down. She’s fun and freaky. What more could you ask for?

If you could steal the brain of another author, whose head would be in danger and why?
Lori Foster. She is so wholesome in a way that truly reflects the human condition and no one writes real men the way that she does, in my opinion. I always cry when I read her books and my goal is to have my readers react to the way I write exactly the way that I react to her writing.

One day you are casually going about your business and a genie pops in to grant you three wishes. They can only be applied to yourself, so no world peace! What would you wish for?
1. To be youthful once more, so I can spend it more wisely this time.
2. To own my dream home that I have designed from the ground up, with lots of land so that I could rescue all the kitties that needed it.
3. I would want to own my own shelter!

If you could magically get two hot guys to oil wrestle for your pleasure, who would it be and more importantly, would they have to wear loin clothes?
Mike Holmes & Gerard Butler and no, loin clothes would not be necessary. In my fantasy they would be wearing kilts.

If you could bring one of your characters to life for the day, who would it be and what would you do?
First of all, that would be sad…to bring one of my characters to life for only day…talk about heartbreaking when it becomes time to say goodbye. But if it were possible, I would choose Gideon. That way he could heal all the sick people in my life and all those that we happened across in the time allotted. I mean, what better way to spend only a few hours then helping as many people as you could.

After a gap of 3 years what brought you back to the Nightwalkers series?
An avalanche of fan letters! Most of which contained things like; “OMG what about Ruth? You can’t let the evil bitch get away!”… OR “PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don’t end it with Noah! I NEED more Nightwalker bliss!!” I couldn’t leave my readers so unhappy, so I decided to do Adam.

What book are you reading at the moment and would you recommend it?
I only wish I still had the time to read. My e-reader is on the shelf collecting dust with all my print books beside it. I am listening to audiobooks, however. Right now it’s ELIJAH. The narrator, Xe Sands, did an AMAZING job on the entire series. I love listening to my words in her voice. Perhaps it’s not exactly how I envisioned everyone sounding like, but it’s just like any work of art. Everyone sees (hears) something different. No two people are going to come up with the same vision. But Xe got pretty damn close. Her voice is like butter and she makes the men in the series sound sooo sexy.

Which species of Nightwalkers would you most like to be?
Demons. I love the fact that they are purely elemental. That their race is so civilized, well-spoken and intelligent, that they have learned and grown from even their most heinous mistakes of the past. They are also real enough and flawed enough to still be making mistakes in the present. Plus, the power they possess is unrivaled, in my opinion.

What can you tell us about your latest releases "Seduce Me in Flames" and "Adam"?
Seduce Me in Flames brings us back to the adventures of the Interplanetary Militia in the Three Worlds universe. Rush “Ender” Blakely is part of the ETF, the Extreme Tactics Force, that aids in policing these worlds, helps in keeping the peace, and sees that everyone lives a reasonably happy existence. But when the Emperor of Allay dies, and a culture threatens to unravel, Ender is sent in to do a daring rescue. The object? The true heir of Allay. And she is going to test Ender’s character in more ways than he could have ever imagined. All the while, he is hiding his own secret that once exposed could threaten all that he holds dear.

As for Adam…

All I am going to say is… I can’t say anything without spoiling it! Adam’s book is going to be worth the wait!

Thank you again for stopping by and much success with your new releases!

Time to win something!  OK maidens we have a print copy of Adam AUTOGRAPHED up for grabs, open internationally.  To enter all you have to do is:

I haven't had a chance to read the Nightwalker series yet. Is Adam a good place to start or must they be read in order?

@Ilona, even though you could read Adam as a stand alone, I would recommend starting with Jacob. There is an ongoing conflict throughout the books which Adam finally solves so if you're planning on reading the series book 1 is the best place to start.

Great interview! I am yet to start this series (sadly). Everyone raves about it, don't ask me what took me so long because I don't even know. I really love your three wishes, very nice and sweet. Love your hot guys, I agree, kilts are always the better choice. Great interview again, thank you so much for this and the giveaway.
