If you have read a book that fits a certain category, but you didn't list it orignally, can you count those as bonus reads?

So, yeah----WAAAAAAY behind here. But finally catching up.
I had originally posted that I would read a total of 12 books this year for this challenge/ 3 books per category.
Update--I have read only 5 books in the vamp category and none in the others.
