ARC Review: Rocky Mountain Desire by Vivian Arend

Rocky Mountain Desire
by Vivian Arend
(Six Pack Ranch # 3)

Sexy and sweet cowboy yummy-goodness at its best!  Rocky Mountain Desire and Matt Coleman rocked!!!  I thoroughly enjoy my time with Ms. Arend's Canadian cowboys and Matt was no slouch!  I know some of you readers have been waiting a lot longer for his story, but since I just recently discovered this series I was lucky enough not to have to wait too long for it.  So let me tell you about Matt.

We have been through a lot with Matt.  In book one he was dating his high school sweetheart, the only girl he'd ever had sex with (same for her, he was the guy she gave her virginity to).  The sweet as honey middle Coleman brother wanted desperately to marry her and start their life together.  She had other plans.  First it started with wanting to have another man added in the mix of the sexcapades for spicyness.  When that wasn't enough, she went chasing the dream of the big city and the occasional orgy.  Cheated on him and then ran out of town, leaving him high and dry, humiliated and destroyed.

We suffered through all that with him.  So when this book started out and he falls in immediately lust with a sometimes "dancer", I was dubious.  When we find out this said "dancer" is also his ex's little sister, all my red flags went up.  I'm not a big fan of the little sister of the ex girlfriend having had a crush on the guy since forever and then all of a sudden they can make a relationship work.

Well, I am here to admit that Ms. Arend shut me up on that, brilliantly!  Matt and Hope are so perfect together!  She gives as good as she gets, she's no floormat with either Matt or her sister.  She's independent, a fighter, and she's not throwing herself at Matt at every chance she can get!  He did the chasing!!  And boy was it entertaining!!!!  Watching him trying to out-do the other guy.

And when things finally started heating up and sizzling between these two they were ON FIRE!  Hope wants to give up control and Matt was more than happy to help her out!

Then there's the whole Coleman family!!  I love all of them, from the sexy and smexy twins all the way down to the Coleman mom & dad.  He even helped his son make a quilt!! *wipes tear away* LOL

Now, when can I get some more hot, wild, cowboy lovin' again, Ms. Arend?  I need another Coleman fix!

ARC Review: Rocky Mountain Haven by Vivian Arend

Rocky Mountain Haven
by Vivian Arend
(Six Pack Ranch # 2)

Daniel Coleman is somewhat of the serious brother.  One night while making a delivery out of town with the twins he meets a girl that totally captivates him.  Beth has been through a lot.  She's a single mother now after the death of her husband, with three kids, and still some problems from the accident.  But that one night she was looking for some adventure.

Who would've thought that she'd find some with Daniel!  But their time together gets cut short and Beth decides she's not ready to give him a chance and doesn't call him back.  But she ends up moving to his town and living on his ranch!

I loved these two together!!  The story was so sweet, she's older than him, she has kids, and baggage.  Daniel, even though he's young, is very mature and goes after what he wants.  Their relationship starts out as purely sexual and slowly feelings start developing.  I liked how Daniel got along with the kids as well and included them as much as possible.

There are so many great moments and hot scenes in this book but I can clearly remember the pool house encounter because DAMN! That was hot!

Continuing with Matt's story things are coming to a head with Helen.  This is clearly setting up the next book and I am so happy to be rid of her ass!  I am also very intrigued as to what's Travis' story.  I can't wait for the next book!

Review: Rocky Mountain Heat by Vivian Arend

Rocky Mountain Heat
by Vivian Arend
(Six Pack Ranch # 1)

I picked this up for the first time when it was re-issued recently because I needed a cowboy fix!  Meeting the Colemans was just delightful!  A family of Canadian cowboys that are just endearing as much as smoking hot!
In Rocky Mountain Heat we meet Blake, the oldest brother of the Six Pack Ranch, and that's a nickname they got because there's six of them (and yes they do have a nice six pack as well!).  Blake has been in love and in lust with Jaxi for as long as he can remember.  She's the girl next door that has always played with the boys, she grew up with his family, she dated his brother.  He should know to stay away from her, after all he's too old for her and shouldn't have these thoughts towards her.

But Jaxi has always had other plans.  She's always wanted Blake.  Even though all the other brothers have, at one time or another, tried to get with her, she only dated Travis because she couldn't have Blake.  Now she's determined to make Blake notice that she's a grown woman and be the perfect ranchers' wife.

All the characters in this book are likeable!  There's a lot of sexual tension, which was great, even though I didn't understand Blake's decision to woe her after they had already been together.  I only had one problem with the fact that at some point or another while growing up Jaxi had kissed pretty much every brother in the Six Pack Ranch!  That should make for some awkward moments, no?  Yeah, I'm jealous!

There's also a side story with Matt.  He's been dating Helen for a while and all he wants is to marry the girl.  But she's drifting away from him and now comes at him with a strange request.  As a puppy in love he complies even though it's a hard decision.  I really see a problem in their relationship, even though the menage we get was pretty hot!

The Coleman family is wonderful!  You will fall in love with all of them!
