Dirty Little Secret # 36

Dirty Little Secret is a weekly meme hosted by us at Under the Covers. Every Thursday we get to know other bloggers and our readers more intimately by asking them a question hoping to reveal their dirty little secrets.  We hope that you will all join us!

To participate in the meme all you need to do is:

1. Be a follower of Under the Covers.
2. Create a post in your blog taking the meme image (code above) and copy instructions.
3. Answer the question we propose! This can be done in any way you like, post a video, write a post etc.
4. Then add your link below.

Non-bloggers: We want to hear from you as well!!!  Let us know your answer in the comments!

We hope you join us and let us know your Dirty Little Secrets!

This week's question:
It's lent and time to give up your favourite things for 40 days and 40 nights (or sneak some when no one is looking!) What series of books would you have to give up, and why?

Our Answer:

Annie: I will try to give up Facebook. I think it's doable.

Francesca:  I wouldn't say I can give up a series because I'm not constantly reading a series, but how about if I give up erotica books for 40 days. That would be pretty tough I think :D OK maybe too hard... I'll go for pizza.  I can try!

Suzanne: That's hard! BDB and Kate Daniel's are SO CLOSE; I couldn't give up both of them, I think I would spontaneously combust!

Angela: It’s always hard to decide what to give up for Lent because you know you’d like to follow through up to 40days. Giving up reading or giving up a series I follow would be hard to do. And because reading contributes to my sanity, I’ll pick something else to give up. I will chose *cringing* Diet Coke. Help me!!!

Now it's your turn!

I don't usually give up things. And I can't imagine giving up facebook. Totally not doable for me! What will distract me when I'm trying to write a paper or study for midterm?

Good luck with your choices!

...I feel silly for asking, but I am drawing a blank. What in the world is 'lent'?

There is no way I'm giving up any of my books. I rather give up soda or chocolate. I can't live without my books.

Oh, that's a toughie. I don't really have a series that I'm constantly reading, so, that wouldn't be fair. Maybe I'd have to give up paranormal books in general. *hides under covers* That thought is really scary....

@ Holly- It's a traditional Catholic holiday (although a few other denominations celebrate it too), in which people give up their favorite item for 40 days and 40 nights to recognize the sacrifice that Jesus made when he was in the desert for 40 days and nights.

This was a tough one! I don't think I could ever give up reading, even for only 40 days and 40 nights. :-) I like how you all diverted to giving up something else!

I am so bad at giving stuff up. But I would totally give up Facebook if I could get away with it. But don't ever ask me to give up books, I might go demonic.

I would give up chocolate before giving up reading. :)

Ladies you all are being evil this week I can't possibly EVER give up any series or books even if it's only for 40 days, I just can't do it no way, no how!
