On My Wishlist

On My Wishlist is a fun weekly event hosted by Book Chick City and runs every Saturday. It's where I list all the books I desperately want but haven't actually bought yet. They can be old, new or forthcoming.

 Forever by Maggie Steifvater
(Wolves of Mercy Falls # 3)

then.

When Sam met Grace, he was a wolf and she was a girl. Eventually he found a way to become a boy, and their love moved from a curious distance to the intense closeness of shared lives.

now.

That should have been the end of their story. But Grace was not meant to stay human. Now she is the wolf. And the wolves of Mercy Falls are about to be killed in one final, spectacular hunt.

forever.

Sam would do anything for Grace. But can one boy and one love really change a hostile, predatory world? The past, the present, and the future are about to collide in one pure moment - a moment of death or life, farewell or forever.

Dark Awakening by Kendra Leigh Castle
(Dark Dynasties # 1)

Enter the world of the Dark Dynasties . . .
For centuries, shapeshifting vampire Tynan MacGillivray has prowled the night as an outcast, valued only for his ferocious hunting skills. When a feud among the immortals escalates into all-out war, he is ordered by his ruthless queen to locate a Seer-a human woman with a special gift-who can secure victory for their clan. Ty's search leads him to a quiet New England town, but once he has the Seer in his grasp, her touch awakens within him a hunger like he's never known . . .
Lily Quinn has always been different. Since childhood, she's had vivid nightmares and an eerie sixth sense. When a sexy, silver-eyed stranger demands her help, Lily plunges into a new world of danger and sensuality. With Ty, she discovers sizzling passions she cannot deny and powers she cannot control. Soon, it is clear that Lily is much more than a Seer-she holds the key to ancient secrets and unthinkable destruction. But will a vampire's vow of eternal protection stop these evil forces . . . or unleash her dark destiny?

My blogmate reviewed Dark Awakening and really liked it. It sounds really good. I'll need to see if I can sneek it off her bookshelf so I can give it a try.

Is it bad that I still haven't read, or even got my hands on, the Maggie Steifvater books? To begin with, admittedly, I did think, "Pfft, Twilight ripoff." But now I'm pretty interested!

Thanks for stopping by my blog :)

*sigh* I'm so easy for a hot shirtless guy on a book cover. I'd pick up Dark Awakening for that alone.

Hi, there!

Thank you so much for commenting on my "On My Wishlist" post! I greatly appreciate it!!

These sre two TERRIFIC choices!!! I've been meaning to start the Stiefvater series, which I've heard so much about! I didn't use to like werewolves much, but Jacob Black in the Twilight series changed all that!!

As for "Dark Awakening", I'm a long-term vampire romance fan, and that cover is just...luscious! Also, there's quite a bit of blue in it, and blue happens to be my favorite color! (You know that from seeing my blog design, lol.) I love the plot, too! The whole idea of a hunky, dangerous male vowing to protect a female, with whom, of course, he's crazy in love...well...sigh...no words are needed here, are they? DEFINITELY my cup of tea!!!!!

Thanks for these book recommendations!! : )
