Volley Balls
by Tara Lain
(Balls to the Wall # 1)
This was a pretty short, light and humorous read. Maybe not the type of humor I like to see as it was a bit more over the top and bordering on "Really? Did he just say/do that?" but it was entertaining for sure.
David recently came out of a bad relationship. He was dating a guy who was still in the closet but who was also abusive. He hasn't really dated since, but a couple of Australian volley ball players catch his eye when they are in town.
Gareth and David make a cute couple I just thought everything was done a bit too fast. Gareth's first approach was very forward and after a couple of dates they were talking about love and him moving to the US and leaving his whole life in Australia and his volley ball team behind. That felt like a bit much.
Then there's the threesome. That felt a bit like it was added as an afterthought, although it was hot.
I am still curious to read the next book!

I did enjoy reading Volley Balls BUT I REALLY enjoyed the second in this series, Fire Balls. Something about a smaller guy being so damn dominate *growls*.
I haven't read any of the books in this series but I think I'll try the first one and see how I like it. Good review.
I love the punny titles of these books. So funny! I'll have to check 'em out.
Thank you so much Under the Covers and Francesca for reading and reviewing Volley Balls. I so appreciate it! I hope you will try the others that didn't have such a tight word limit! LOL : )
@Kassandra, I will be reading Fire Balls soon I bought it already! Rodney really sounded adorable.
@Maria & @barklesswagmore, yes the titles are really what caught my eye. Hope you get to read them soon.
