ARC Review: A Blood Seduction by Pamela Palmer

4.5 Feathers
A Blood Seduction
by Pamela Palmer
(Vamp City # 1)

Pamela Palmer did an extraordinary job of sucking me in to her linear world of vampires. I loved every bit of this complex world she had created and now, I can truly say that I have become more fond of this genre.

Twenty seven year old, Quinn Lennox has powers beyond her imagination that she has managed to tamp down since she was a child. Though she has done a great job hiding it, weird things still happens in her daily life and had gone stronger the past few weeks. After her Brother’s friend, Lilly had gone missing, both she and Zack had discovered an existing linear world of Washington D.C. also known as Washington V.C. An alternate world of Vampires that ruled over humans. Thriving as it is, this world is dying and in need of a savior itself.

In an attempt to rescue Lilly, Quinn and Zack were separated and captured. Quinn was captured by the dark and mysterious vampire, Arturo Mazza. As all the other vamps in this world, he uses humans for his personal use as help, blood/sex slave. Arturo is one hot vamp! As said in the book, he is indeed the “epitome of rugged handsomeness”. He is also evil and dishonest but a hero all the same. A contradiction you wouldn’t believe. I equally love and hate him.

I enjoyed both Quinn and Arturo. Though the romance is not strong the sexual tension is obvious and it is apparent where their relationship is going. Trust will be a big one for these two. They are also both kick ass heroes as you will see them fight for what they want and believe in.

I loved the character and world building of this complex world. Ms. Palmer had explained this linear world with ease. She explained how the world came to be, different life factions, politics and characters pasts etc. There’s so much going on with a several key players but not once I felt lost.

The ending left me very curious. There are several outcomes with unexplained reasons that I'm dying to find out about. I cannot wait to what Ms Palmer has installed for us.

This Dark Urban Fantasy with a light touch of romance is the first of this series and is expected to have at least 5 books I cannot wait to devour each of them as they are released!

I love UF because it has such nice long story arcs that span a series and can almost frustrate you because of no immediate solutions.

Great review!
