Review: Demonically Tempted by Stacey Kennedy

(more like 3.5 feathers!)
Demonically Tempted
(Frostbite #2)
by Stacey Kennedy

Demonically Tempted picks up pretty much where Supernaturally Kissed left off. Tess has now joined the police force and is using her abilities on solving cold cases. She's going on her first assignment where they're trying to figure out if what looked like a suicide could've really been a murder. Except she doesn't see a ghost. How could a ghost just have disappeared?

While trying to solve this case, she is contacted by a group of ghosts who are being terrorized by another ghost, or what they think is a ghost, or a force, or a shadow. Yes, ghosts talk to each other and word has been going around that Tess Jennings is their go-to person to solve their problems. But as she starts digging in this turns into a much deeper issue. It's not a ghost she is facing but a demon.

Tess's character did a lot of growing into her powers and her knowledge in this book. She also had the help of cutie newcomer Dane, who got on her nerves more than helped her along, and really irritated Kipp. Dane enlisted also the help of a witch!! Oh the possibilities! Kipp is still his jealous, possessive and protective self, and is there to help Tess get the job done and get rid of the demon. Well, for the most part. You'll have to read and find out what happens.

I felt the beginning of the book went a bit slow but it picked up speed towards the end where things were actually starting to unfold. I think the relationship drama between Tess and Kipp was the most interesting part of the story for me. I can't wait for the new developments in their romance to unfold. A lot of things changed in this book. So be sure to watch for the next installment in this series to see what happens to Kipp and Tess!

ARC Review: Supernaturally Kissed by Stacey Kennedy

Supernaturally Kissed
by Stacey Kennedy
(Frostbite # 1)

Tess was forever changed when she was involved in an accident, and not only because she lost her parents that day. She now has the gift, or curse, to see dead people.

Usually preferring to ignore them until she is faced with Kipp. Not only is he hot as sin, too bad he's a ghost, but he is persistent as well. He was a cop and was killed while being very close to discovering the killer in a cold case about a young girl. With Tess's help, Kipp is able to communicate with his partner and try to finish the investigation.

How he gets her to help? Well, he discovered that just a few dirty words in her ear and he can have her panting. A bit of a bittersweet love affair because they can't touch but a strong connection nonetheless.

This story was sweet and had all the elements of a great read even though it was so short. Some intrigue, some action, some humor and just enough steam to keep me interested. I really liked all the characters, the H/h, the best friends.  I am looking forward to reading more of this series.
