ARC Review: The Vampire's Consort by Caridad Piñeiro

The Vampire's Consort
by Caridad Piñeiro

Caridad Piñeiro is turning up the heat!  I am amazed at how she managed to make me care about the characters in such a short story.  This is not usually an easy task but in this case, job well done!

Adrian, a vampire, was so attracted to Eliza, a human, that when he found out she would most likely die from an illness, he decided to make her an offer...to make her his consort.  She takes care of him, in return she gets some of his blood which grants her eternal youth and immortality, just as long as he's still around.

They've been together for a very long time and Eliza has fallen in love with him, has watched him being with other girls, never with her.  And it may be the time has come when she can't take it any longer and wants her freedom.  It just hurts too much to be so close to him and not be with him.

They've both hidden their feelings for each other, they've both been with other people, and it was nice to see them together at the end.  Well, that and extremely hot!  Could've been longer, and left me wanting more.  But what we got was great and it steamed up my e-reader.  And did you know this was available on audio too?  Very cool!  Even though I didn't personally listen to it.
