Review: Wrangled and Tangled by Lorelei James

Wrangled and Tangled
by Lorelei James
(Blacktop Cowboys # 3)

Wrangled and Tangled is TWO-FOR-ONE HOTNESS!

We finally get the story of Abe (Hanks' brother from book one) and his ex-wife Janie.  She's back in town working at the new resort, when a series of "accidents" happen around her.  What better way to stay safe than to go stay with her hunky ex-husband?  Yep, that's how it all starts...that and a rocking laundry machine in the basement. ;)

Abe is all cowboy, hard working, but just as he works hard, he looooooves hard.  He never showed Janie his darker side when they were married, but now that he's explored it and knows what he likes, he's all for including Janie in on that action!  But they also had a lot of healing to do as a couple.  They hurt each other when they were together before and they've grown up in their time apart.  It was nice to see them being able to talk things out.

And when I said two, I meant two!!!  We don't really get a small side story in this book, it's more of half Abe/Janie and half is all about sexy hunky Renner Jackson.  That's his resort Janie is working at.  We first met him flirting with Harper while getting a manicure.  But don't let the manicure fool you.  This is one hands-on rough cowboy.

He's determined to making the resort work and to do that he had to get a financial infusion.  This now saddled him with his investors' daughter to oversee how their money is being spent.  Tierney should be by all means the rich, daddy's little girl.  She gives that impression on the outside, but once you get to know her, nothing is farther from the truth.  And when Renner and Tierney give in to their more carnal desires and start doing more than fighting about money....*fans self and starts blushing* I have no words.

I loved every single character of this book.  Hard to do when there are so many involved.  The heroines were amazing, strong yet vulnerable.  Strong and independent but also smart enough to know when to allow a man take care of them.  The heroes well, you know how I feel about hot alpha cowboys and these two had that in spades!  Their stories were everything I was expecting and more!

I love the Rough Rider series but I was truly surprised by how much I liked the Blacktop Cowboys. I think there is a lot of depth to the characters and the stories are really great! jepebATverizonDOTnet

I think this series is different than Rough Riders, but still such a hot side to Lorelei's cowboys.
