Sinners on Tour # 3
February 13, 2013
There are things in bassist Jace Seymour’s past that he is unwilling to share with anyone. To cover his guilt and anguish, he seeks dominatrix Mistress V (Aggie) to temporarily placate his inner turmoil. Aggie doesn’t have much use for men–besides the power rush she gets when they’re begging for mercy at her feet–but Jace isn’t like her usual clients. His cool defiance and unexpected dominance in the bedroom drives her to distraction and quickly steals her heart. When circumstances threaten Jace’s position in Sinners, Aggie must help him regain his rightful place in the band while showing him that time and love can heal all wounds.

Review: Under His Hand by Anne Calhoun

Under His Hand
by Anne Calhoun

In this brief but seriously seductive story between a Navy SEAL and his sweet girlfriend, Anne Calhoun reminds readers of just how must trust and love is needed in a relationship. Calhoun takes it one step further and shows how that trust extends to the bedroom...

Drew Norwood returns home after an extended stay on a mission. He finds his girlfriend, Tessa in their home where she has left the windows open. Normally, this wouldn’t be a cause for concern, but in a rough neighbourhood, Drew is terrified for her safety. He grows angry because Tessa intentionally disobeyed his instructions to keep the windows closed. Tessa disrespected him and ignored his wishes. Now, Drew must remind Tessa that he loves her and that he is only looking out for her.

Tessa knows that she will be punished for this, but the promise of an erotic spanking sends tingles through her. Her fear arouses her and soon, Tessa finds herself trusting Drew with her body...and her heart.

I wished this book were longer because I found that I really liked Drew and Tessa together. Calhoun does a fantastic job of building anticipation and writing heroines who are new to BDSM in general. She simply excels in straddling the line between fear and arousal and I think that’s very much evident in this book! I can’t wait to read more for Calhoun’s work!

Review: Liberating Lacey by Anne Calhoun

Liberating Lacey
by Anne Calhoun

LIBERATING LACEY has become one of my favorite contemporary erotic romances ever!

After a recent divorce, Lacey is now on the hunt or something that will bring back the heat into her life. She is successful and well-educated, but her life seemed to be at a standstill. One night she goes to Buff, a bar where she hopes to find a hottie to bring home.

This is where lucky Lacey meets Hunter Andersen – Cut the swoons, the drooling, and the jaw-dropping because hello mama, Hunter is the hottest thing to hit my ereader! Right from the get-go, I was in lust with Hunter. He oozed sex appeal and dominated this book. I was floored by his character. He had all the qualities that an erotic romance hero should have. He has the sexy job (He’s a cop). He has the sexy ride (He drives a motorcycle). But the best thing about him is that he is his own vulnerability. Because of his younger age and status, he doesn’t believe he is good enough to be with Lacey. He struggles with this for the entire book and I think it’s a great way to show another side to him that makes me love him even more.

I also loved Lacey and her confidence. Though she is a mature woman, there’s this fun and flirty side of her that I loved reading about. She was open to new things and the love scenes were made hotter because of her confidence in her sexuality.

Speaking of sex scenes, they are abundant and steamy as hell! After a particularly sexy coupling against an SUV in Buff’s parking lot, the sexiness continues until you’re hotter than the sun.

This was my first book by Anne Calhoun and it definitely won’t be the last. I loved her writing style and her voice. The story just seemed to flow very well and I thought that Calhoun did a fantastic job of bringing two very different people together in a way that was sexy and still very believable.

Next up I’ve got WHAT SHE NEEDS on my reading list. Lots of friends have suggested I read this sexy short, and since I loved this one I’m happy to indulge. I can’t wait to read more of Anne Calhoun!
