If You Know Her by Shiloh Walker ARC Review Tour

4.5 Feathers
If You Know Her
by Shiloh Walker
(Ash Trilogy # 2)

The time has finally come to reveal who the killer is! You can expect If You Know Her to be a nail-biting, edge-of-seat and very sexy read!

This series has a great cast of characters. I can't say there's one that I didn't like, but Nia and Law are MY FAVORITE! They're perfect for each other.

I've liked Law since book one, he's the perfect friend and support for every female in this series. While during book one he was in love with Lena, he was also the best friend she had and the one person she relied on for everything. During book two we see that he's been such a rock for Hope, helping her get out of a bad relationship and giving her the opportunity to start over. So I couldn't help but want to see him finally be happy, with a girl that wanted him. And that was Nia Hollister.

I like that she's not a girly girl, she's very strong and independent and a bit of a badass. I mean she rides a bike, wears leather and has a gun! My kind of girl. I thought from their first meeting in book two that they were explosive together and I can say they didn't disappoint me! At all!

Now onto the suspense. This series has a great storyline and it's full of suspense. This book was excellent, even got me a bit scared to keep reading at times! I started off with a suspect in mind (having gone through a long list of possibilities throughout the series) and I was shocked (and not) when the killer is finally revealed.

I will only say this. Trust your first instincts people! The killer is the person I thought and had as prime suspect in my head at the end of book one. And then I completely forgot about that. Sick, demented, totally unstable. When the backstory got revealed I was shocked at the depth the issues the killer had went.

An amazing ending to the series and job well done for Ms. Walker! This series is a must read for anyone who likes a mystery, suspense and plenty of sexy with all that.

If You See Her by Shiloh Walker Virtual Tour

4.5 Feathers
If You See Her
by Shiloh Walker
(The Ash Trilogy # 2)

Being back in Ash, Kentucky is such a treat.  This book, and this whole series really, is bound to keep you on the edge of your seat (or bed), biting your nails and wondering what will happen next.  What a thrill!

What can you expect to find in this series?  Strong characters that have a lot of obstacles to overcome while dealing with a serial killer on the loose (or is it more than one?).

Remy Jennings, the lawyer, is still investigating the events that unfolded at Law Reilly's home.  His main suspect is Hope Carson.  The mousy looking girl that seemed to be scared of everything.  How could she have killed a deputy and attacked her best friend.  This is for Remy to try and find out.

Hope on the other hand is starting to feel a bit more comfortable in her own skin.  After escaping the clutches of her abusive husband she is starting to figure out who she is without his control.  And doing a great job at it.  Still a bit scared but trying to establish her independence and taking baby steps on feeling like a woman.

So the romance?  It took some time for these two to get things moving in that direction, as I noticed it was at least 10% into the book and their interactions were pretty minimal.  However, once they both admitted that they wanted to try and give it a go I thought they made the cutest couple.  Dare I say I liked them more than Ezra and Lena.  Maybe.   Hope is for sure my favorite heroine in the series so far.

And the suspense?  Ms. Walker can do this better than most!  Even though this story was a bit slower it didn't take away from the developing storyline.  I still can't figure out who the killer is.  This is unheard of for me.  I love it.  But I am ready to know.

And while we are in the subject of the killer... we see a different side to him in this book.  Maybe this was just me, but he seemed a bit more human and like he actually had feelings inside of his sick, demented mind.

I also enjoyed getting to know Nia Hollister.  She seems like such a kick ass chick but there's got to be so much more in her past.  I have so many questions about her and I really can't wait to see her with Law.  They are bound to be explosive together.

Can't you tell I'm excited to read If You Know Her??

If You Hear Her by Shiloh Walker Virtual Tour

4.5 Feathers

  If You Hear Her
by Shiloh Walker
(The Ash Trilogy # 1)
Romantic Suspense

This is book is suspense at its best! I loved it! It has enough romance to keep you excited but the actual story is amazing. If you love mysteries, you will love this book!

Our heroine, Lena Riddle, has lived in the small town of Ash, Kentucky for close to nine years. Small community, everyone knows each other, everyone is nice to each other. She works for a bed & breakfast as a chef. She lives alone, with a dog, on the outsides of town, in the woods. And she's blind!

Her peaceful existence is ruined by a woman's scream in the middle of the night. Someone is running through the woods near her house. Someone that's running for their life. But when she tries to get the cops to investigate what she heard, no one believes her.

Well, almost no one. The other disruption to her peaceful existence believes she heard something. Ezra King. He's a city cop on leave after being hurt badly on the job. He went back to his grandmother's home, which he had inherited when she passed away, to try and figure out if he could go back to the force. But he wasn't planning on falling in love.

Very rarely do I find a book where I love both the hero and heroine. I did in this one.

Lena is such a strong woman. When she lost her sight she kept going forward and didn't let that stop her from doing what she wanted, becoming a chef. It doesn't stop her now from living in a house she loves alone. It hasn't stopped her in the past from dating. From being confident. And it's not going to stop her from making the cops take her seriously about the threat that's lurking in the woods. There's a woman out there who's life may depend on it.

Ezra is sexy as hell. He's got the bad boy, cop vibe going. He's one of the good guys. He never belittles her and knows just how to treat her.

And talk about hot! I don't know how they managed it with her not being able to see and him having a bad leg, but *fans self* they were burning up the sheets!

I think my favorite part of this book is the fact that I have NO CLUE who the killer is. Truly. I did the process of elimination as best I could and there's always something in my mind that takes someone off the list. I am at a loss.

What I wasn't expecting was the ending. I guess the killer will run lose for the whole series because we don't get to find out who he is!!! I might've screamed a little. It'll leave you hooked to get the next book because now I just HAVE to know who did it.

Whoever it is, he's a sick bastard. Just be warned of this. There are some parts in this book that are written from the killers perspective, or even worst at times, from the victims. I was a little disturbed by that, but it did make the story more real.

And this being my first Shiloh Walker book I have to say that I love her writing! I will definitely have to get more of her books!
