ARC Review: Changeling Dawn by Dani Harper

4.5 Feathers
Changeling Dawn
by Dani Harper
(Changeling # 3)

The Changeling series by Ms. Harper is starting to come close to a perfect PNR series for me. I adore the simplicity of the world, the family atmosphere, and the storylines on each book are always interesting. This mixed in with just the right characters, always likeable, and you have a hit!

Changeling Dawn was no different. In continuing to follow the Macleod family, this time is Kenzie's turn. Due to being hunted when she was a child she's always had a distrust of humans. Always preferring to associate with her own kind. But she has made it her life mission to study humans. She is now looking for proof that maybe humans and shifters are not so different because she knows one day, maybe soon, they will have to come out.

When she goes off on her own to research a remote archeological site, she finds more than she expected. Not only does she find her mate, who just happens to be the most adorable and hot human you'll ever come across, but she finds an orphan shifter, still in wolf form.

Something obviously happened to the little girl and she has to figure it out.

Did I already mention how much I love the characters? Well Kenzie is no exception. She's tough and independent. Set in her ways. But at the same time she has such a good heart and sometimes follows her heart, and maybe other parts of her anatomy, and shuts off her brain. I liked that about her. She didn't necessarily fight her attraction to Josh as much as I was expecting.

Now let me tell you about Josh. Puuurrrrrr. He is funny, smart, a man of many talents, animal lover, human but with a special ability. He can see the auras of shifters and recognize them as such. And shifter or not, when he sees Kenzie he's in love.

Together they try to help the little shifter and uncover a bigger scheme. An organization that has known of the existence of shifters and has been kidnapping them for experiments. Now is up to them to try and stop them.

This series is a must buy! There's romance, there's intrigue and some action. A wonderful world and a wonderful set of characters. You won't want to miss it!

Review: Changeling Dream by Dani Harper

Changeling Dream
(Changeling # 2)
by Dani Harper

The Macleod family thought they had lost a brother after a werewolf hater human had killed his wife and injured him.  After that, James never came back to his human form.  The wolf took over and it’s been decades since the human has been in control.

But when Connor decides that he needs help at his clinic and hires Jillian as a veterinary, James, human and wolf, are smitten.

Turns out, this is not the first time James ran into Jillian.  He saved her life years ago from an attack and that white wolf has been an important part of Jillian’s memories ever since.

The slow change in James was so sweet.  He can’t seem to stay away from Jillian even when he comes across as strange.  These two definitely have some sparks flying from the beginning.  And with those mesmerizing blue eyes, he had me swooning too.

Turns out there are still people that hate werewolves in town, and a blast from the past might come haunt James again.  But he won’t be alone now and Jillian won’t give up so easily.

Cute, sweet and sexy paranormal with a touch of suspense.  Can’t wait for Changeling Dawn!

Review: Changeling Moon by Dani Harper

Changeling Moon
(Changeling # 1)
by Dani Harper

I have to admit I had no clue what to expect when I first picked up Changeling Moon.  I had read excellent reviews and couldn’t wait to get started.  This book has a few things that I just love.  A shifter series centered around a family.  A hot and sexy veterinarian alpha male.  Who doesn’t love a shifter who loses sleep to help a puppy? And a strong heroine who comes across as tough and smart but not stupid and annoying.  And that last one is a tough one to do in my book.

Connor is part of the local changeling pack in a small remote town.  His family has been here for generations and there have been "stories" and "legends" about werewolves.

He dedicates all of his time to his work until one night he plays knight in shining armor to the latest town import, reporter Zoey Taylor.  After he rescues her from a rogue werewolf attack he has to make sure he can prevent her from turning into a werewolf herself.  If that means getting close to her, then he’s up for the challenge.  The chemistry between Zoey and Connor was amazing.  It was love AND lust at first sight.

Things get complicated when this rogue wants to take out Connor and Connor realizes Zoey is actually his mate.  Connor leaves us hanging sometimes, but . . . Outside the house party by the back wall. . . Hot! Just saying!!!

This is a solid, romantic paranormal tale with just enough intrigue to keep you entertained and a cast of characters you will fall in love with.  If you like paranormal romance, Dani Harper is a must read.
