Review: Pursued by Evangeline Anderson

Pursued
by Evangeline Anderson
Brides of the Kindred #6

Ahhh, another Kindred book! I get so excited when I see there is new one out. These sexy aliens have got me tied in knots and begging the heavens for an alien abduction, Kindred style! These guys are perfec; big, strong with cocks that could be construed as deadly weapons and a powerful urge to give oral until his woman passes out... where can I sign up? And although Merrick wasn't yout typical Kindred warrior as he is a very rare, dangerous and despised half breed between a Beast and Blood Kindred, I loved him, he had the sexiness of both the Kindred races. Elise feels the same, after saving and protecting her she can feel the bond between them, and despite a horrific past that she refuses to face she cherishes the bond. That is until they find out that the bond could kill them if they don't get it dissolved, and the only way to dissolve it is to go on a very dangerous trek in a jungle populated by a race of ancient aliens. Let the fun times begin.

Since the end of Revealed I have been looking forward to Merrick and Elise's book. They look like such opposites on the outside, Merrick so big and scarred and Elise petite and beautiful. But on the inside they are both the same, scarred and shutting out their past. They were perfect for eachother! What I liked was although they, ofcourse, had their Misunderstandings they never really tried to deny how they felt about eachother, and for the most part their relationship was intense, sexually charged and sweet.

This series is also developing a very interesting overarching plot, with Draven and his hoarde of grotesque beasts. I can't wait to see what will happen next, and am torn between wanting someone to kick Draven's arse and wanting someone to give him back his soul and redeem him. You also get to see the characters from the previous books, especially the women, and I seem to like them more now then I did in their own books! And also, when the hell is Olivia going to give birth, the poor girl has been pregnant for bloody ever!

Another great book in the installment, it was passsionate and emotional and I am now impatiently waiting for the next book.

Girls Guide to the Kindred:

Beast Kindred aka Fuckably Feral Aliens- Savage in battle these dark, brooding warriors from Rageron bring their passion and intensity to the bedroom. They possess a very special endowment that ensures every sexual experience is a tantric one.

Blood Kindred aka Space Vampire Aliens-Cold as ice to their enemies, these tall, blond warriors from Tranq Prime warm up when they find the right woman. But be careful...they bite.

Twin Kindred aka Menage a HOT Aliens- Muscular and rugged, these warriors from Twin Moons always come in pairs and cannot be separated. They experience physical pain when parted from each other...or the one woman they both choose to love.

Review: Revealed by Evangeline Anderson

3.5 Feathers
Revealed
by Evangeline Anderson
(Brides of the Kindred # 5)

Another Kindred book! This series was my favourite of 2011, it has started many fantasies about being transported to an alien space ship and...probed by a sexy Kindred warrior (or Warriors!) and this book has furthered my obsession with all things Kindred.

Revealed is about Nadiah, Sylvan's cousin and Adam Rast, the human detective who has made a career out of finding the lost. Nadiah and Rast's attraction has been growing since they first met at Sylvan's Bonding, but despite starting off on a tongue to tongue basis things have gone down hill since then as Rast accuses Nadiah of being a fraud when she has her visions, only later to find out that her Sight is genuine. But despite their differences their attraction has grown, but nothing can come of their mutual desire as Nadiah has been blood bound to another as a child. But when Rast sees the cruel way Nadiah is treated by her betrothed he is determined to break the bond, no matter what the cost to himself.

What I loved about the romance in this book, was that the hero and heroine knew they loved the other pretty much from the start and it was other people putting obstacles in their path, not any extremely irritating and unnecessary Misunderstanding. Also as this series has gone on, the heroines have become much more likable, Nadiah was pretty cool, I loved how she stood up for herself and her man. And Rast was HOT! I love the whole possessive she-is-mine thing. This book was also incredibly hot, I love how the Kindred males love their females and I love a man who talks dirty and Rast's mouth was filthy!

This book also introduces a brand new threat to the universe, and I can't wait to see what happens with that and how they can stop them. It is also great because I know there will be more books in the series. I am really hoping that Merrick, Sylvan's friend and a Hybrid, is next, I LOVE the tall, dark and dangerous ones!

Review: Found by Evangeline Anderson

Found (Brides of the Kindred #4)
by Evangeline Anderson
Sci Fi/Erotica/Romance

This book has raised the inevitable question. Do I need to make a new GoodReads shelf? Although there were only two people in the relationship, Lauren and Xairn, there is his extra cock to consider, do I make a new shelf for those heroes so well endowned that just one cock won't cut it? And what do I call it if I do? I am thinkng two-cock-delight or double-banana-surprise...

But despite the horrible shelf dilemma it has caused I LOVED this book, definitely the best book in the series. This book carries on almost straight away from Sought. Xairn has taken Lauren and himself to get their DNA changed so the AllFather can't find them. But the AllFather is no longer after Lauren anymore, he now wants Xairn back as part of a diabolical plan to gain immortality.

What I loved most about this book? Xairn, I just wanted to cuddle him close to my quivering bosom, then have him put me over his knee and spank for being such a bad naughty girl. I never thought that a grey skinned, red eyed and double cocked alien would ever float my boat, but seriously Xairn floats a whole fleet of my boats and then some. He manages to be vulnrable yet tough and protective; drop dead gorgous yet not realize it and tortured but not whingey. Ode to Xairn (the abbreviated version) is now finished.

Now lets start on Lauren who is by far my favourite heroine in the series. Unlike the other crazy chicks in this series she realizes she loves Xairn quickly and doesn't try and fight it, instead she tries to make her relationship with her warrior work; this endeared her to me massively. I mean I don't get why would you resist being bonded with such perfect men? It irked me in the other books; I wanted to get some serious slappage down with Liv, Sophia and Kat, what is wrong with them? When a sexy, honorable, devoted-to-you alien with a giant love stick knocks on your door (or beams you to his spaceship) you DO NOT run away, you start riding the love train as soon as you possibly can! *takes deep beath* right rant over, back to the book!

As this is an erotica book, I should talk about the sex. Honestly, there isn't as much as you would think, and it mainly occurs towards the end of the book. What Found does is build up the sexual tension between Xairn and Lauren until eventually it explodes. It is hot and it is kinky if you like a little bit of BDSM you will definitely be panting by the end.

This book also continues the story between the Kindred and the Scrouge, led by the AllFather, Xairn's father. I liked this story, it has kept the books in this series tied together and now that this has been concluded, I wonder if there will be anything similar to tie future books together. I know that this was originally supposed to be the last book in the Kindred series but I can see at least the potential for two more books and I really hope thar Ms Anderson continues to write books in the Kindred universe. This has been one of my favourite series this year it is something a little different, romance-erotica-scifi is not something you come across everyday and each book has drawn me in and left me wanting more.

Review: Sought by Evangeline Anderson

Sought (Bride of Kindred #3)
by Evangeline Anderson
Sci Fi Romance

You know what I have discovered? These heroines are a crazy bunch, I mean you have GOT to be! If you have two guys wanting to share you, both of them extremely hot, extremely hung and extremely hung up on you, would you run off? No! If that were me I would be sticking to them like glue, you wouldn't be able to pry me off with out an industrial sized prying thingy! I don't think some of these heroines deserve such amazing guys, so I really think for Ms Anderson's next book, I should be the next heroine!

So now that I have finally got that off my (heaving) bosom I can now talk more sense about this book. It starts pretty much where it left off in Hunted with Kat in serious trouble with only the Twin Kindred Locks Hard and Stabs Deep able to save her. But much to Kat's horror they discover the only way to save her life is to bond fully with her, something that Kat is reluctant to do. After sharing thoughts with them she knows that Deep hates her and she can't bear to spend the rest of her life mated with someone who seems to resent her. Little does she know that Deep could never hate Kat and he in fact loves her as much as his brother Lock. If only he could stop hating himself, he believes he has already caused the death of one bride and he is determined never to harm Kat.

As you can guess from mini rant at the top there, I really liked Locks Hard and Stabs Deep, like the other Kindred they make fantastic mates, and in the case of Twin Kindreds it is bargain two for the price of one! I found myself really falling for Deep the moody twin, he really was a tortured hero and I found myself waxing from wanting to hug him, wanting to boink his brains out and from wanting to bash his brains out for not just talking to Kat directly about things! Although I did find myself crossing my legs a little at the way they have sex, I am ashamed to say I had a historical romance heroine moment of "How will it all fit!?" but then I put on my big girl panties (or took them off in this case) and decided it would be worth a go!

As for Lock the other half of the Twin Kindred, what a sweetheart! As the light twin he is natually more lighthearted and laid back and very lovable. Put Lock and Deep together and like I said JUST TRY AND GET ME OFF THEM!

What I also loved about this book was the story line involving Xairn the son of the All Father. I seriously cannot wait to read his book, Ms Anderson has done a fabulous job of setting it up and developing his character over the last three books and I cannot wait for him to finally find some happiness.

I really enjoy this series, it is hot, funny and I enjoy reading them immensly, I keep hoping now for an alien abduction (mean evil aliens need not apply!) so I can find a Kindred of my own! Twin Kindred please!

Review: Hunted by Evangeline Anderson

Hunted (Brides of Kindred #2)
By Evangeline Anderson
Erotic Romance

Sophia Waterhouse has always been afraid of needles and vampires so there's no way she wants anything to do with a modern day Count Dracula-even if he does come wrapped in the package of a huge Kindred warrior with blond hair and ice blue eyes. She's only on the Kindred Mothership to participate in her sister Liv's wedding and that's all.

Sylvan is a Tranq Kindred who has made a sacred vow never to call a bride. After a devastating rejection on his home planet, his heart is a block of ice no one can melt-or so he thinks until he meets Sophia.

When their ship is forced down in the middle of a rugged mountain range Sophia and Sylvan are stranded. Running for their lives they have only each other to depend on. Will they give in to the intense attraction between them or will the evil hunting Sophia take its toll?
From Goodreads

Another book in the Brides of Kindred series and another hot alien. Seriously these guys are prefect, where can I find one, these men can probe me as much as they want! And Sylfan surprised me, he is a Blood Kindred (Space Vampire!) and I didn’t think I would like him as much as Baird as I am not a vamp girl most the time. BUT Sylfan was amazing; maybe it is a case of double the fangs, double the pleasure? Not only was he hot in a way that’s lethal to anyone with a weak heart, but he was also sweet and hung five legged horse if you catch my drift *waggles eyebrows*
Sophia was also good, I didn’t really like Liv from Claimed but I did like Sophia, although she resisted Sylfan as well her reasons were so heart breaking that I was completely on her side. But they did make a fabulous couple when they got together. Although I am beginning to notice a pattern of them only realizing when the other one is about to die! Hopefully the next book will shake that up a little.

And, thinking of the next book, it is Kat and Locks Hard and Stabs Deep story! I cannot wait to read it! I love the idea of Twin Kindred and they have been my favourite since I first read about them in Claimed even though we hadn’t met any! And the chemistry between Lock, Deep and Kat has already been set up fantastically. I really can’t wait to read, I know I am repeating myself but my review my rules LOL!

Another character I would love to see get a book is Xairn, what an interesting fella! He is part of the Scrouge but different as he still has some compassion left in him. There was a really sad and horrible moment for him in this book as well which I won’t spoil, but it has left me with a massive soft spot for him.

As with the other books this one was hot as hell, these Kindred really know how to work it; these books should come with a clean pair of knickers or at least a warning!

Review: Claimed by Evangeline Anderson

Claimed (Brides of Kindred #1)
by Evangeline Anderson
Erotic Romance

Is there anything more perfect than a super sexy alien, or as they call themselves Kindred? I don’t think there is. They cook, they clean, they love to give you massages, they make you come until you pass out, really what more could a girl possibly want?! Unfortunately Olivia doesn’t quite see it like that, after being chosen as one of the Kindred males bond mate she does everything in her power to resist him, she misses her twin sister, her best friend and the job she loves, being with Baird the Beast Kindred she has bonded with will mean leaving it all behind.

This is the first book in the Kindred series and I really liked the idea. Earth had been attacked by bad aliens called the Scrouge, but just in the nick of time the Kindred, the good aliens, turn up to save the day! In exchange they want to do a genetic trade, whenever a Kindred alien calls a bride from the millions of women on Earth, Earth has to send her to the Kindred. Kind of like being called for Jury service, only with more sex and it is forever!

So loved the idea and it has such a great potential for books with some hot aliens and their Earthling brides in it. However, what stopped me loving the book was Liv, I really didn't like her. I understood why she resisted Baird, and it wouldn't have been much of a book if she hadn't! But what annoyed me is that she never gave him a chance even when she knew how much he loved her and when she suspected she might love him in return. Now, don't get me wrong she wasn't TSTL, just bloody irritating!

However, Baird! My sweet yet animalistically sexy Baird! He was so perfect it me feel a little ill! Not only was he so hot he makes your eyes burn, but he was also sweet, patient, cock the size of baseball bat and head over heels in love with Liv. Baird ALONE has earnt this book 2 stars! But I think because it always seemed really one sided I never really saw the connection with both of them, even towards the end it never really came together for me.

But there were other things I really liked about this book, it showed the potential between Liv's twin Sophia and Baird's brother Sylvan (a Blood Kindred aka Space Vampire) and I really can't wait to read their book! So much so that I actually bought it half way through this one! Kat, the twins friend was also really good and I am hoping that she will get a book as well.

Although Liv pissed me off, I did like this book alot, it had humour (killer blue teddy bears called Bebo!) and an interetsing world with the potential for more. And did I mention the sex? It was HOT! I love how EA writes her steamy scenes, Baird had a filthy mouth in more ways then one! NOT one to be reading at work!

Favourite Quote

"Nothing's wrong." Olivia's cheeks were as red as her robe. "It's just..you're so big. I mean, can you acually use that thing without being arrested for assault with a deadly weapon?"

Others may take you along with them on research trips or interviews. Whatever the case may be, sit back, relax and enjoy the ride because here you’ll get an in-depth look into an author’s musings.

Today, erotica author Evangeline Anderson gives us a glimpse into her new series "Brides of the Kindred", a new erotica sci-fi that you have to check out!!

Hi, Evangeline Anderson here,

I’ve been writing erotica for a number of years now and science fiction has always been one of my favorite genres. Mainly because you can write anything you want—the sky is literally the limit. I love paranormal too, though. All those lusty, angst-ridden vampires and werewolves—who can resist them? So in writing Claimed, the first book in Brides of the Kindred, my idea was to incorporate some of my favorite paranormal and erotic ideas into a sci-fi series.

I came up with the Kindred, a race of genetic traders who are also warriors and total Alpha males. The Kindred have traveled the universe for centuries looking for viable matches to expand their gene pool. Since a genetic anomaly ensures that their population is ninety-five percent male, they are specifically looking for women.

The three genetic trades the Kindred have already made have resulted in three very specific types of men. But though they take on some of the physical characteristics of the race they are trading with, the Kindred gene always ensures three things: physical prowess, extremely large and muscular body structure, and undying loyalty to the female of their choice. Which kind you pick is up to you…

Beast Kindred come from Rageron—a jungle planet full of beautiful but deadly flora and fauna. They have dark hair, golden eyes, and hot tempers but their most defining characteristic is the mating fist. The mating fist is an area at the base of the Beast Kindred’s shaft which engages fully only during bonding sex with his chosen mate. This ensures sex that is both tantric and multi-orgasmic for both partners.

These guys are kind of my weres—they’re the most animalistic of the bunch and very territorial.

Blood Kindred are blond with pale blue eyes. They come from Tranq Prime where ice, snow, and arctic-like temperatures are the norm. They have a set of double fangs located where a human’s canine teeth would be. These fangs don’t develop fully or become sharp enough to pierce flesh until a Blood Kindred is with a woman he wishes to mate and bond with.

Hello—you know these are my vampires. They don’t take blood for nourishment though—they only bite to heal their mates or arouse them sexually by injecting their essence.

Twin Kindred come from Twin Moons—a world of vast, stormy oceans dotted with craggy but beautiful islands. True to their namesake, Twin Kindred always come in pairs. The brothers are not identical, however—there is always a light twin and a dark twin. These labels refer not just to skin, hair, and eye coloring but to the twin’s moods and perceptions of the world.

The twins are mentally linked and able to hear and sense each other’s thoughts and emotions. They cannot be separated by long distances or for long periods of time without severe pain. They must also share a woman, linking her into their mental and emotional exchange for very intense ménage sex.

Well, I admit there’s nothing very paranormal about the Twin Kindred except for their psychic ability. But I do like the fact that we have a built-in ménage here. They need each other but they also need a woman to complete them and become their third. Very hot.

I loved writing Claimed and as I wrote, more and more ideas came to me about the three different types of Kindred, their cultures, rituals, and of course, the way they perform bonding sex, which is different for each race. Each book in the series will have a different kind of Kindred warrior as the hero so I get the chance to explore three different worlds and cultures which makes me happy because I love world building. I’m about finished writing Hunted, the second book in the series now and I hope to have it published in the next two months.
