This week's question:
"Book abuse! What's the worst thing you've done to a book."
Our Answer:
Francesca:
I don't normally dog-ear pages, and I am all around careful when reading a print as far as not having liquids around or food etc. But I do the classic roll-over thingy while reading. Luckily, it doesn't leave much permanent damage. I have been known to throw my tablet or ipod but no matter how pissed, I only throw it on the bed. At least I know I'm not ruining it but I get to release some frustration.
Annie:
I'm usually pretty good with keeping my books in good condition. I
always use bookmarks *looks pointedly at Angela* but this ARC I read
this week was bounded so tight that I had no choice but to bend the
cover to read it. I've only throw one book at the wall and that was a hardcover copy of Faefever by Karen Marie Moning. That cliffhanger ending killed me.
Angela:
This is the worst I've done. The book was so good I could not wait until I got home to get sticky notes. So, I folded the corners. Oh and I refuse to say which ARC it is. LOL
Suzanne:
I confess, I dog ear
my books! Although my book shelf you will find books with ragged edges
and battered covers through a mix of being thrown around in my bag and
the bookmark fairy stealing my bookmarks (I hate that bitch!) making me
have to dog ear the corners. Of course if anyone else did this to my
books I would have to end them....
Now it's your turn!

You think that with all the swag we get, the book mark fairy would be freakin happy!!LOL...My favorite books look like that!
Oooh! Bad Bad Bad ladies >.< lol I try not to dog ear pages so i always find a piece of scrap paper or a credit card or id or something.. the worst i've done to a bug was a couple months recent, it's one of my favorite books and since it was new, it was bound so tight i had to open it wider, and now it's just crappy :'(
That book mark fairy is a menace to society!
Sweet Mary the page roll over about did me in ;) LOL.
Bookmarks never last here either. I've got a freaking ton of them but they always manage to make themselves scarce when I need em. So I'm a terrible dog earer.
I did dog-ear pages in Junior High School with text books but I think everyone here can easily say "and where's the harm in that?", right? LOL
I'm actually pretty good in keeping books in great condition, but despite that, I broke two spines :( ... Now, if you look at the hundreds of books I have, it's a pretty damn awesome result, but still, I hate ruining anything about a book :(
Great question, although I feel ashamed at how I sometimes treat my books, lol. However, some of them never are loaned and are treated with kid gloves :)
Here is my DLS:

I treat my books delicately, the only scuffs they have on them is from being in my bag!
Awww, thanks for voting everyone! And really, it's nice to have a group we can check in with everyweek! Thanks for participating in DLS!
Ann
Great question this week! I imagine dogearing pages will be a popular answer.
hangs head I dropped a book and split the spine. I near had a break down. Other than that one accident I take very good care of my books.
